Abu Dhabi Customs introduced its Smart Translator at GITEX Global 2025, facilitating instant multi-language communication during customs processes through an AI-powered platform.

During its participation in "GITEX Global 2025," the General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs unveiled its groundbreaking project: the Smart Customs Translator. Developed entirely in-house under the leadership and vision of promising Emirati talents, this interactive platform leverages artificial intelligence technologies. It is designed to facilitate instant communication during customs procedures between staff and clients from diverse nationalities in over 90 languages. The platform integrates voice, text, and sign language translations into a unified and secure system that ensures accurate and confidential communication.
The smart translator significantly reduces the time required for processing, mitigates errors due to language barriers, enhances customer experience quality, and boosts the efficiency of customs services across border entry points.
Mohammad Hussein Al-Baloushi, Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing at Abu Dhabi Customs, stated that their participation in GITEX Global 2025 as part of the Abu Dhabi Government's pavilion stems from a commitment to innovation and modern technology's role in advancing customs operations. By offering smart services that support governmental initiatives, they aim to propel excellence and leadership within the customs sector both locally and internationally.
