Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer lauded the collaboration as "building a golden age of nuclear," positioning both countries at the forefront of global innovation.

This strategic partnership aims to leverage nuclear energy's potential in reducing household energy costs, creating employment, enhancing energy security, and addressing climate change concerns.

Dubbed the Atlantic Partnership for Advanced Nuclear Energy, the agreement seeks to expedite company efforts in constructing new nuclear power stations across both territories. By streamlining regulatory processes, it plans to cut down the average licensing period for such projects from four years to two.

The initiative also encourages commercial partnerships between British and American enterprises.
