UAE national carriers continue to operate a limited number of flights while the majority of air operations remain suspended due to the ongoing closure of regional airspace.
The move reflects a carefully managed operational response, with airlines emphasizing that passenger and crew safety remains their absolute priority. Carriers confirmed they are closely monitoring developments and adjusting their operational schedules in line with evolving conditions.
At this stage, priority is being given to outbound flights and to customers directly impacted by the disruption. Airlines indicated that flight activity will gradually increase depending on available capacity and the reopening of airspace.
Travelers have been strongly advised to remain in direct contact with their airlines for real-time updates before heading to the airport, as entry restrictions remain in place, limiting access to passengers holding confirmed bookings only.
Emirates confirmed via its official X account that all scheduled flights to and from Dubai remain suspended until 23:59 UAE time on March 4, following the regional airspace closure.
The airline stated that it continues to operate a limited number of repatriation and cargo flights on March 3 and 4, prioritizing customers with existing bookings on these specific services. Passengers have been instructed not to travel to the airport unless directly notified by the airline or in possession of a confirmed reservation, with updates being published on its official website.
Meanwhile, flydubai announced a partial resumption of operations starting March 3, operating a limited number of flights from Terminals 2 and 3 at Dubai International Airport.
The carrier reiterated its commitment to prioritizing affected customers and coordinating closely with relevant authorities to scale up operations once temporary restrictions are lifted.
Passengers are advised not to proceed to the airport without direct confirmation from the airline.
Dubai Airports stated that limited operations have resumed gradually at both Dubai International and Al Maktoum International airports in coordination with airlines and relevant authorities. Flight schedules may continue to be adjusted as airlines reposition aircraft and rebalance their networks.
The authority stressed that each airline retains responsibility for deciding whether to operate specific flights based on aircraft positioning, crew availability, and airspace capacity, urging travelers to continuously verify updates through airline websites or mobile applications, even after prior confirmation.
In Abu Dhabi, Etihad Airways confirmed that all scheduled commercial flights to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended until 14:00 UAE time on Thursday, March 5.
However, selected repositioning, cargo, and repatriation flights may operate subject to regulatory approvals and strict safety standards.
Additionally, Air Arabia announced the continued temporary suspension of all flights to and from the UAE until 15:00 UAE time on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. Flights to Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq are also suspended until March 5, 2026.
The airline noted that a limited number of flights may operate subject to operational approvals, with affected passengers being contacted directly. The carrier affirmed that its teams are continuously monitoring developments while maintaining safety as their foremost priority.
