UAE Ambassador to India, Abdulnasser Alshaali, has pushed for an increase in aircraft operations between the two countries in response to the rising demand for travel and the effect of constrained air transport capacity on airfare between the UAE and India.

Alshaali underlined the importance of better transportation linkages to boost bilateral relations and solve the growing expenses of air travel in an interview, According to Khaleej Times news during the first UAE-India Founders' Retreat held at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

Increasing Capacity for Air Travel

Alshaali noted how limited seat availability and great demand drove a notable increase in airfare. " Demand is significantly higher and the flight has gotten more expensive. We require more planes and seat capacity. Prices will so keep rising otherwise, he clarified. Aimed at making travel more handy and accessible for Indian visitors, he recommended more flights and direct connection between more Tier 2 cities in India and the UAE.

Alshaali said, stressing the need of customizing travel choices to better match passenger needs, Increasing flight paths and seat availability will not only help to lower ticket prices but also boost tourism, generate employment, and encourage commercial contacts between the two countries.

With an overall increase of over 15% since its inception, the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between India and the UAE has shown to be a main driver of bilateral commerce, surpassing $80 billion, Some industries, including pharmaceuticals and agriculture, have seen amazing expansion; commerce in fruits and vegetables alone rises by more than thirty%.

Alshaali praised CEPA for increasing economic cooperation and said it had given a strong basis for improving trade and investment prospects. Co-organizers of the three-day retreat, the UAE-India CEPA Council (UICC), has been vital in promoting cooperation between companies from both nations, To address cross-border innovation and entrepreneurial growth, the event drew more than 60 Indian startup founders, UAE business leaders, investors, and legislators.

Alshaali revealed details on his efforts to help businesses, including inviting Indian entrepreneurs to live at his New Delhi house and planning events to investigate chances for growth.
