The Sharjah Executive Council held a high level meeting chaired by Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Council with the attendance of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi reviewing several strategic government files aimed at enhancing institutional performance and monitoring development projects across the emirate.
During the meeting the council approved the formation of a specialized committee to address violations in commercial and industrial warehouses focusing on conducting comprehensive inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards reducing fire risks and enforcing strict penalties on non compliant entities particularly those handling hazardous and flammable materials.
The council also introduced a new decision to grant additional social assistance to eligible beneficiaries to strengthen social stability setting clear criteria including a monthly income threshold below 17500 dirhams targeting elderly individuals widows divorced women and low income families under defined regulations to ensure fair distribution of support.
In addition the council approved the establishment of a committee dedicated to handling emergency social cases tasked with evaluating urgent situations and providing integrated support to individuals and families aiming to improve quality of life and reinforce social and psychological stability across the emirate.
The decisions further included the approval of media activity fees and penalties along with a comprehensive guideline for drafting agreements memorandums of understanding and contracts enhancing governance and legal efficiency while maintaining flexibility in government procedures.
