The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the United Arab Emirates has activated comprehensive operational plans to address ongoing challenges in the aviation sector across the region, ensuring organized and flexible passenger management while mitigating potential disruptions to flight schedules.

The authority emphasized that these measures are part of a broader strategy aimed at maintaining safe and efficient travel experiences for all passengers across UAE airports.

According to the GCAA, all UAE airports and national carriers are working in full coordination to manage operational movements according to approved plans.

Measures include redirecting certain flights between airports, accelerating the rescheduling of affected flights, and enhancing on-ground coordination within passenger terminals to prevent congestion.

The authority stressed that these procedures are designed to maintain essential services and ensure a seamless flow of passengers within airport facilities, providing clear guidance and support at all times.

The UAE government will cover all accommodation and hospitality costs for passengers impacted or stranded due to flight rescheduling, ensuring their comfort and access to essential services during this operational adjustment period.

Over the past few hours, approximately 20,200 passengers were affected by flight changes, with temporary accommodation, meals, and beverages provided, in addition to facilitating rebooking procedures under approved operational plans to guarantee passenger convenience.

The national carriers, in coordination with relevant authorities, have managed both incoming and outgoing flights affected by operational circumstances, including transporting passengers to domestic destinations, providing temporary accommodation for transit travelers, and completing all standard procedures within approved frameworks.

The GCAA emphasized ongoing coordination with airlines to monitor flight statuses and adjust schedules as necessary to support a safe and organized resumption of normal operations once conditions allow.

Passengers are urged to follow official updates through approved channels and communicate directly with airlines for the latest information regarding their flights.

The authority reaffirmed that passenger safety and comfort remain top priorities, highlighting the UAE aviation sector’s capability to handle operational challenges efficiently while ensuring uninterrupted services.
