The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has introduced a new trade name issuance service powered by artificial intelligence (AI), representing a noteworthy advancement in the department's digital transformation efforts.
This initiative is designed to enhance the experience of individuals and businesses alike.
The newly implemented service signifies a pivotal restructuring of procedures, significantly reducing the time and effort involved in completing transactions through SEDD's various channels.
Utilizing AI technology, the service will analyze the nature of commercial activities and propose innovative names that adhere to regulatory requirements.
According to the department, this new service can cut the trade name issuance process time by an impressive 98 percent.
Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chairman of SEDD, commented that the trade name issuance service has been developed to deliver a unified, integrated digital experience, emphasizing operational flexibility to meet the diverse needs of customers across various sectors.
Additionally, it will enhance the agility and efficiency of Sharjah's business landscape, simplify the process of establishing companies, and increase the appeal of local and foreign investments in the emirate, he added.
