The emirate of Sharjah is set to host the inaugural "Human Investment Forum" under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Family and Community Council.

The event, organized by The Big Heart Foundation and NAMA Women Advancement Establishment, will take place on November 19 at the University of Sharjah. It aims to be an international intellectual and humanitarian platform embodying both the emirate's and the UAE's dedication to advancing humanitarian efforts and developing human resources as a driving force for comprehensive economic and social development.

This first edition is being held in collaboration with the University of Sharjah under the theme "Humanity and Heritage in Palestine." It will delve into preserving Palestinian culture and heritage while promoting its role in safeguarding collective memory.

The Vision of Sharjah's Ruler

The forum marks a culmination of years-long humanitarian endeavors led by Sharjah, placing people at its core. This initiative extends from a steadfast approach inspired by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, alongside his consort Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, emphasizing humanity's central role in all programs and policies.

Humanitarian Medicine in Conflict Zones

Among the distinguished participants is Dr. Ghassan Abu Sitta, a renowned Palestinian surgeon noted for his work in conflict zones. He will share insights from his field experiences. Architect Shatha Safi, Director of RIWAQ Center for Architectural Conservation, will also partake, highlighting efforts to protect Palestinian cultural identity through documenting and revitalizing heritage sites-a mission pursued over three decades.

Additionally, Dr. Reem El Mutwalli, founder of The Zay Initiative focused on preserving Arab identity through costumes and arts, will share her expertise on preserving Palestinian heritage to bolster cultural belonging. Discussions will explore how academic institutions can employ digitalization for heritage conservation.

The forum’s sessions will be moderated by seasoned journalist Maisoon Azzam, known for her extensive experience in humanitarian journalism. Azzam’s facilitation seeks to unite practical voices with scholarly discourse underlining that understanding reality intertwined with identity is vital for human development.
