The Kuwait Stock Exchange closed higher on Thursday, with the general index gaining 36.29 points.
On Thursday, the Kuwait Stock Exchange witnessed an increase in its general index, which rose by 36.29 points, marking a 0.46% gain, to reach a level of 7932.53 points. During the session, approximately 462.9 million shares were traded through 28,554 transactions, amounting to a total value of 121.4 million dinars (around 371.4 million dollars).
The main market index also saw an uptick of 5.90 points, or 0.08%, finishing at 7296.77 points, with a trading volume of 293.4 million shares across 16,237 transactions valued at 46.6 million dinars (approximately 142.5 million dollars).
Furthermore, the primary market index gained 45.68 points, equating to a 0.54% increase, closing at 8483.01 points. This was driven by trading of 169.5 million shares through 12,317 transactions worth 74.8 million dinars (about 228.8 million dollars).
In addition to this, the "Main 50" index experienced a rise of 79.34 points, or 1.10%, reaching a level of 7307.38 points, with 210.8 million shares traded in 11,016 transactions totaling 33.6 million dinars (around 102.8 million dollars).
Notably, the companies that recorded the most significant gains included "Tahsilat", "Petrolia", "Ahliya T", and "Yubak", while those that experienced the sharpest declines were "Markaz", "Thuraya", "Hotels", and "Napisco".
