Anilkumar Bolla, a 29-year-old Indian expatriate residing in Abu Dhabi, has made history as the inaugural winner of the AED 100 million grand prize in The UAE Lottery, officials have confirmed.

Bolla's life-changing victory occurred during The UAE Lottery’s 23rd Lucky Day Draw #251018 on Saturday, October 18.

He was at home when he received the momentous call from The UAE Lottery officials.

The jubilant winner expressed his astonishment and joy, initially sharing the exciting news with a colleague before contacting his brother back in India.

"This win surpasses my wildest dreams," Bolla remarked. "Receiving the call from The UAE Lottery felt unreal; I repeatedly asked them to confirm the message. Even now, it feels like a dream."

Bolla plans to indulge himself with a supercar purchase and enjoy a luxurious stay at a seven-star hotel while strategically planning his investments.

"My victory serves as a testament that hope and fortune can align for anyone, often when least expected," he added.

The winning combination was a blend of chance and sentimental value. Bolla selected an Easy Pick from the "Days set" and incorporated the number 11 from the "Months set" to honor his mother's birthday.

Notably, his win coincided with Diwali’s eve-the auspicious Indian festival of lights-adding to its significance. "It feels like an extraordinary blessing," Bolla stated.

"Securing this win on such an auspicious occasion enhances its importance."

Apart from Bolla's monumental win, ten other participants each secured Dhs100,000 during the draw.

The UAE Lottery has distributed prizes totaling over AED 147 million among more than 200 winners since its inception, with upwards of 100,000 players claiming winnings.
