In a bold move to bolster social stability and improve living standards for Emirati families, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council, has approved the development of 14 integrated housing projects across Abu Dhabi.

This major initiative, implemented under the directives of the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will deliver 35,000 new housing benefits, including 26,000 ready-to-move-in homes and 9,000 residential plots, with a total investment of AED 82.7 billion over the next five years.

As part of the leadership’s commitment to social welfare, the housing program includes significant financial relief measures:

• A community support grant of AED 250,000, automatically deducted from housing loans worth AED 1.75 million, retroactively applied based on the 2023 housing benefits policy.

• Loan repayment periods extended to 30 years, easing monthly financial pressure on beneficiaries.

• A flexible repayment model based on each applicant’s monthly income, offering tailored support for changing financial circumstances.

Additionally, the initiative introduces deferred payment home purchase loans for low-income citizens aged 25 to 45, while those over 45 will receive ready-built housing grants from capital projects.

Citizens will also be exempted from land-swap service fees, simplifying the process of exchanging plots to support family proximity and cohesion.

Officials from the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority expressed deep gratitude to the leadership, emphasizing the transformative impact of the initiative on family stability and quality of life. They confirmed the AED 250,000 grant will be automatically applied, and that the new deduction policy - capping monthly payments at 10% of income, or AED 10,000 max - will come into effect by September 2025.
