Emirates has announced the continued temporary suspension of all flight operations to and from Dubai until 15:00 UAE time on Tuesday, March 3, due to the closure of several airspaces across the region, a development that has directly impacted operational routes and scheduling.
The airline stated that the situation remains dynamic and subject to ongoing assessment, emphasizing that it is closely monitoring developments in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure that any operational decisions are aligned with evolving regional airspace conditions.
Passengers have been advised to regularly check the latest operational updates through the airline’s official website and to review the email addresses associated with their bookings before heading to the airport, in order to stay informed about potential changes or cancellations affecting their flights.
Emirates confirmed that travelers holding bookings scheduled before or on March 5 may rebook onto alternative flights for travel up to March 20, or request a refund in accordance with their original booking method, whether the ticket was purchased directly through the airline’s website or via a travel agency.
Customers impacted by cancellations are requested to contact their respective travel agencies to arrange rebooking, or to reach out directly to the airline if the reservation was made through its official channels, facilitating smoother processing during this period.
The carrier also announced the temporary closure of all city check-in facilities in Dubai until further notice, a measure aligned with the suspension of flight operations, while continuing to coordinate closely with the relevant authorities.
In its statement, Emirates reaffirmed that the safety and security of its passengers and crew remain its highest priority, and that all operational decisions are made in strict adherence to internationally recognized safety standards.
