In an unprecedented move, EgyptAir announced on Saturday the suspension of all flights from Cairo to twelve major Arab cities, following escalating military tensions between the United States and Israel on one side and Iran on the other.

The affected destinations include Kuwait, Dubai, Doha, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Qassim, Dammam, Erbil, Baghdad, Amman, Beirut, and Muscat, with the suspension to remain in effect until further notice.

Ahmed Adel, Chairman and CEO of the EgyptAir Holding Company, stated that the Integrated Operations Center’s crisis room is closely monitoring all developments, coordinating fully with relevant authorities at Cairo International Airport and EgyptAir’s international stations.

Adel emphasized that passenger safety remains the top priority, noting that operational teams are actively tracking flight movements and providing necessary assistance to travelers affected by the temporary suspension.

This step is part of a swift response to regional security fluctuations and demonstrates EgyptAir’s commitment to international aviation safety standards.
