Dubai authorities have announced complimentary public parking and revised public transport schedules in celebration of the upcoming Eid Al Etihad holiday.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) detailed the operational hours for all services during the 54th Eid Al Etihad (Union Day) holiday. The updated timings impact Customer Happiness Centres, paid parking zones, public buses, Dubai Metro and Tram services, marine transport options, as well as vehicle technical inspection centres.

Free Public Parking in Dubai

All public parking areas across Dubai will be free of charge on Monday and Tuesday, December 1 and 2. However, this exemption does not apply to multi-storey car parks or the Al Khail Gate N-365 parking zone. Standard paid parking fees will resume on Wednesday, December 3.

Dubai Metro: Red and Green Line Timings

  • Saturday, November 29: From 5am until 1am the following day
  • Sunday, November 30: From 8am until 1am the following day
  • Monday–Tuesday, December 1 and 2: From 5am until 1am the next day

Dubai Tram Service Hours

  • Saturday, November 29: Operating from 6am to 1am (next day)
  • Sunday, November 30: Running from 9am to 1am (next day)
  • Monday–Tuesday, December 1 and 2: Trams available between 6am and 1am (next day)

Public Buses (Dubai Bus)

For updates regarding changes to bus timetables during the Eid Al Etihad holiday on Monday and Tuesday, December 1st and 2nd 2025, commuters are advised to consult the S’hail app.

Marine Transport Schedules

The operating times for marine transport throughout Monday and Tuesday can be accessed via official RTA channels.

Customer Happiness Centres Operations

All RTA Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed on both Monday and Tuesday for Eid Al Etihad. Nevertheless, Smart Customer Happiness Centres located in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Twar, as well as at RTA Headquarters will continue their round-the-clock service as usual.

Service Provider Centres (Technical Inspection)

The vehicle technical inspection centres operated by service providers will be closed throughout Monday and Tuesday. Regular operations will recommence on Wednesday, December 3.

The UAE National Day is observed as a paid holiday for both public- and private-sector employees in Dubai.
