The UAE Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has officially announced the New Year 2026 holiday schedule for federal government employees.

According to the Authority, Thursday, January 1, 2026, will be an official public holiday for all federal entities across the UAE. Additionally, the Authority confirmed that Friday, January 2, 2026, will be designated as a remote work day for federal government employees, except for those whose job duties require physical presence at the workplace.
