Bitcoin recently hit a local peak of $105,976 and is nearing its all-time high.

Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency by market capitalization, reached a new local high of $105,976 earlier this Sunday on the Bitstamp exchange.

After pulling back slightly, the major cryptocurrency is currently trading at $104,619.

Teddy Fusaro, the CEO of Bitwise, noted that Bitcoin has now surpassed its previous local high of $105,787 reached on May 12.

A new local high has been established at $105,950.

The next level to watch is the peak from January 20, which stands at $109,358.

Additionally, as reported by U.Today, Robert Kiyosaki, author of "Rich Dad Poor Dad," recently predicted that the leading cryptocurrency could soar to $250,000 this year.

As of the time of publication, Bitcoin is less than 5% away from reclaiming its all-time high.
