The Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition – Acres 2025 is expected to be the largest edition ever, The 50% drop in government registration fees, which makes property transactions more appealing to investors and end users, is one of the main elements driving its increase.

Chairman of the Representative Committee of the Real Estate Sector Business Group at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi said that during the exhibition buyers and sellers would only be obliged to pay a two percent registration and transaction fee instead of the usual four percent. Only deals signed at the event, which will take place at the Sharjah Expo Centre from January 22 to 25, would qualify for this incentives.

Al Suwaidi claims that the show has been growing year mostly because of laws allowing freehold property ownership and lower registration costs. These elements have greatly increased the demand for Sharjah real estate, drawing fresh developers and investors to the market.

"These kind of offerings draw exhibitors, end customers, and fresh investors. Developers like Arada, Alif, and IFA, who did not exist in Sharjah before, have started many fresh projects there. Demand has skyrocket since freehold ownership was instituted in Sharjah a few years ago, Al Suwaidi said.

Head of sales and marketing at IFA Hotels and Resorts Jamal Al Shawish underlined the effect of the Sharjah Executive Council's (SEC) decision to slash transaction fees. This action, he thinks, will be very important in motivating more businesses to make real estate investments in Sharjah, therefore strengthening the market for developers and investors both.

Director of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (SRERD), Abdulaziz Rashid Al Saleh, underlined the past success of the show by pointing out that real estate transactions recorded in the last edition topped Dh1.4 billion. The outstanding transaction volume shown the expanding attraction of Sharjah's property market, which led the Organizing Committee to enlarge exhibition space this year to meet the rising demand from real estate companies ready to present their projects.

With more than 110 exhibitors involved, Acres 2025 is likely to be the biggest edition yet recorded. These will comprise first-time players trying to make a name for themselves in the market, top-notch property developers from all throughout the UAE and the wider region, and big real estate development and investment businesses.

SCCI and SRERD are co-organizing the event, which spans 10,000 square meters of exhibition area. Participants will be able to investigate a broad spectrum of investment possibilities in industrial, commercial, and residential buildings. Along with hotel and hospitality buildings either finished or currently under construction, the exhibition will highlight land areas fit for development.

With its rising magnitude and the provision of enticing incentives, Acres 2025 intends to reinforce Sharjah’s status as a premier real estate investment destination.
