Emirates Expands Into Shenzhen With Daily Service From Dubai

Emirates has launched a new daily service from Dubai to Shenzhen, solidifying its expansion in East Asia. The service marks the airline’s fourth entry point into the Chinese mainland, enhancing connectivity and allowing passengers to link with various global destinations. This strategic move is set against the backdrop of deepening China-UAE relations and bolstered trade partnerships.
Emirates has inaugurated its daily flight service to Shenzhen, marking the airline's fourth gateway into the Chinese mainland, as part of its expansion strategy in East Asia .
The inaugural flight EK328 touched down at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport on July 1, with passengers receiving commemorative gifts and certificates.
Shenzhen Enhances Emirates' China Network
Emirates now operates 42 weekly flights to four major Chinese cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, providing enhanced connectivity for passengers and businesses.
The route is served by a four-class Boeing 777-300ER, with flight EK328 departing Dubai at 10:05 AM and arriving in Shenzhen at 10:00 PM, while the return flight EK329 departs Shenzhen at 11:55 PM, landing in Dubai at 3:40 AM the next day.
This service enables connections to European destinations like London, Paris, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam through Emirates' Dubai hub, along with links to Kenya, Egypt , South Africa, and Saudi Arabia .

This launch signifies Emirates' enduring commitment to expanding our presence in the Chinese mainland and aligning with the country's trade and tourism goals," stated Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Airline.
"We are grateful for the support of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, Shenzhen Airport Group, and local partners. We anticipate strengthening connections for travelers and businesses between Shenzhen, Dubai, and beyond," he added.
The Boeing 777 aircraft features 8 suites in First Class, 40 lie-flat seats in Business Class, 24 seats in Premium Economy, and 260 seats in Economy Class.
Shenzhen is the first city in the Chinese mainland to receive Emirates' retrofitted aircraft, boasting upgraded cabin interiors and Premium Economy seating. Business Class features a 1-2-1 seat layout, offering aisle access to every passenger.
Emirates, serving China since 2004, connects over 50 countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, supporting one-third of participants globally.
The expansion aims to increase visitor numbers to the Greater Bay Area from the GCC and Africa, benefiting sectors such as manufacturing, e-commerce, and pharmaceuticals via a 72-hour supply chain model.
The Boeing 777-300ER offers 16 tonnes of cargo capacity per flight, integrating Shenzhen's manufacturing industry with Emirates' cargo network. The airline's cold chain capabilities ensure the safe transport of perishable items and pharmaceuticals.
The UAE, China's key trading partner in the Middle East, reported bilateral trade of US$95 billion in 2023.
Aviation is pivotal in the growing trade relationship between the UAE and China, as Emirates expands its influence in trade, technology, logistics, and investment sectors.
Travelers from the GCC, including the UAE, can now visit China visa-free for up to 30 days, enabling Emirates’ clientele to schedule seamless business and leisure travel plans.
Emirates continues to uphold its commitment to enhancing connectivity to and from the Chinese mainland, supporting its strategic growth vision for East Asia.
