The Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) has made a significant stride toward sustainable transportation by adding 250 new electric vehicle license plates to its taxi fleet.

In keeping with sustainability, the Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) recently added 250 new registration plates especially earmarked for electric vehicles to its fleet, Complementing the UAE's Year of Sustainability project, this phase will raise the proportion of environmentally friendly vehicles in the taxi fleet of the company to 87 percent, The inclusion represents a significant shift towards greener transportation, so supporting Dubai's initiatives to lower emissions and support better energy in urban mobility.

DTC's whole taxi fleet now consists of 6,210 vehicles following their most recent purchase, By an anticipated Dh85 million, this growth is predicted to increase yearly income, therefore highlighting the financial advantages of funding sustainable infrastructure, DTC's fleet of environmentally friendly vehicles fits a larger plan to move toward a more sustainable model, therefore guiding other businesses in the area to adopt green practices and lower their carbon impact.

Dubai Taxi Company's CEO, Mansoor Rahma Alfalisi, pointed out that the action seeks to increase DTC's offerings not only inside Dubai but also over the area.
