Bahrain has shifted 70% of its government workforce to remote work in response to escalating regional tensions, particularly following US airstrikes on Iranian sites.

In response to the escalating tensions within the region, Bahrain 's Civil Service Bureau has mandated that 70% of employees within ministries and government agencies transition to remote work. This directive is effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice as a precautionary measure.

This remote working policy, however, does not extend to those sectors where physical presence is indispensable, or where employees are involved in specialized emergency procedures, all while aligning with public safety requirements.

The regional situation has become increasingly volatile following the announcement by US President Donald Trump on Sunday. He stated that American forces have conducted "very successful" airstrikes targeting three Iranian nuclear sites, heightening fears of a potential wider conflict in the region. — Agencies
